Kaizer chiefs new arrival lauded

Former Kaizer Chiefs ace Robson Muchichwa described Khama’s capture as incredible as the star is what the club need now.

Khama signed a three – year contract after dodging interests from Zamalek and a couple of European clubs. Muchichwa won the  Rothmans Cup with Chiefs in 1997 and 1998.

“I think for me they’ve learnt the lesson that if you invest in quality you’ll get results. I’m very much excited. I was just hoping they’ll do that and they’ve just done it. The only thing missing now is to announce the new coach. They now have the star quality to go all the way in Africa. Previously I had so many doubts with the quality. That is what was missing, the quality.” Muchichwa told KickOff.com.

Muchichwa belives Chiefs acquisition of Billiat from Mamelodi Sundowns will surely help them win titles.

“All over the world you need quality players to win trophies and my advice to him [Billiat] will be to keep on working very hard. He knows what is expected at Chiefs. He’ll improve that team because he’s quality and in South African football and Africa he needs no introduction, especially at a team like Kaizer Chiefs.” he added.

Billiat won the PSL Footballer of the Year in 2016 in addition to the Nedbank Cup, the Telkom Knockout, the CAF Champions League and Super Cup after five seasons.
