Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic has welcomed the challenge of competing in the World Cup knockout stages. Croatia are sure of a place in this year’s tournament after two wins from their first two matches, one against last 2014 finalists Argentina.
“We’re a really strong team right now, The match against Argentina was incredible and we’re now thinking about the second round.We know it’ll be difficult because there are really good teams, but we have already demonstrated our strength and we don’t want to stop,” he stated
Before the knockout round, Croatia face Iceland in their final group match on Tuesday.
