Paul Labile Pogba was born on 15th of March 1993. He is a professional footballer who is capable of playing at multiple positions as a central midfielder both in attack and defence

On the club level, he represents famous English football club, Manchester United. He was picked up by the club against an all time record transfer fee. He has always remained an integral part of his team with key contribution towards winning titles.

While on international matches, he plays for France national team. He won FIFA U – 20 World Cup while captaining his French side and was awarded the Best Player Award for his outstanding performance during the tournament. In 2014 FIFA World Cup, he again displayed great football skills and grabbed Best Young Player Award.

Paul Pogba has two twin brothers Matthias and Florentin who are two years older than him. All three Pogba brothers are professional footballers , Matthias plays for Scottish club Partick Thistle F.C while Florentin plays for French Ligue 1 Club Saint Etienne . With no disrespect to Matthias and Florentin , it really is Paul who has popularised the family name.

A strange fact about him is that, in Italy he has been nicknamed as Polpo Paul by his teammates that means Paul the Octopus. He has been given this nickname because of his long legs that appear to be like tentacles when he is running and dodging with the ball on the football field while other teammates often call him Pogboom because of his aggressive and energetic display of skills during the match.

5.Received all time record transfer fee from Manchester United
Another cool fact about him is that, he was offered a five year contract by famous English football club, Manchester United against an all time record transfer fee of €105 million or £89.3 million in addition to bonuses of €5 million. This fee surpassed the former record transfer fee offered to Gareth Bale.

8.Paul Pogba now has his emoji on his boots and football fans are not dealing with it well

A status confirmed when he became the first player on the planet to get his face made into his own bespoke emoji.The move was not a universally popular one with football fans, some of whom suggested he should be focused more on justifying his eye-watering price tag on the pitch rather than his social media presence.

Because at times it’s hard to tell if Pogba is a footballer with a very astute social media marketing strategy or a just social media brand that does a sideline in professional football.However the Manchester United midfielder has now upped his social media gimmickry another notch as he stepped out to play Leicester with his emoji emblazoned on his boots.

Needless to say, football fans are not dealing with his latest advance for brand Pogba particularly well.
