Zlatan takes aim at French boss for dropping star striker

Former Sweden international, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has criticized France coach, Didier Deschamps for not including Real Madrid star, Kareem Benzema in the squad to the World Cup taking place in Russia. The striker has hardly made an appearance for the national team since Deschamps took charge and Zlatan believes the coach is in the wrong.

“For me, it is not normal that Benzema is not in the national team because he is one of the best in the world, he has won the Champions’ League, he plays at Real Madrid. His absence has nothing to do with football. If the national team manager says he is not good enough for this team, then this manager should not be here and Benzema deserves his place. I find it ridiculous that he is not selected. If you want to win, you need winners and Benzema is a winner,” Zlatan said.
