England dependable star to miss training

England midfielder Dele Alli is set to miss training on Thursday as the medical team monitors his recovery from a thigh strain.

The remainder of the team will train in what will be England’s first full session since their clash against Tunisia where they registered a dramatic 2-1 win. The Tottenham star, who had his injury scanned on Tuesday, said he will do “everything in my power” to reach full fitness for the fixture, having taken to Twitter to voice his frustration at the injury.

He played 80 minutes of England victory over Tunisia despite appearing to take the knock in the first half and was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The Chelsea man has said he is ready to take his opportunity if he is called into England’s team to play Panama.

The Three Lion plays Panama in their second Group G game on Sunday 24th.
