Chelsea legend says Ronaldo is the best striker

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has named Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo as the best striker in the world. The 40-year old is appearing as a pundit for the BBC in Russia and casting his eye over the likes of Harry Kane, Diego Costa and Ronaldo throughout the tournament.

But despite the heroics of the former two, Ronaldo’s stunning start to the tournament, coupled with his displays for Real Madrid over the past two years, mean Drogba ranks him as the undisputed number one. That is particularly impressive for a player who started out as a winger and Drogba believes he is now a ‘complete’ forward.

“He’s the best striker at the moment in the world,” Drogba explained.

“He is complete, he can score headers, he can score left foot, right foot, free-kicks and he is always in movement. I think for a defender it’s very difficult to defend against a player who is always moving and it’s easier for a midfield player to find a guy who is always in movement.” He added.
