Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly furious after knowing that Atletico Madrid’s striker, Antoine Griezmann is now earning more than he does at the Los Blancos. It will be recalled that Atletico confirmed on Monday that Griezmann has agreed fresh terms at the Wanda Metropolitano, which is thought to have placed him above Ronaldo in the wage table.
Sport, Spain newspaper, reports that Ronaldo is frustrated as a result of Griezmann’s new deal, and the Santiago Bernabeu club are now under pressure to speed up contract talks with the forward. Ronaldo also earns a lower salary than Barcelona star, Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar, with Madrid said to be paying him just under £40m a year.
