Manchester City prank victim Bernardo Silva wants more Portuguese players at club to provide safety in numbers

Prank victim Bernardo Silva wants Pep Guardiola to bring some Portuguese players to Manchester – for his own Ssfety.

The midfielder joked that he wasn’t fussed about the star quality of his national team-mates, but just wants to be able to have some moral support when it comes to practical jokes at the Etihad.

It’s not just playing for a team that are flying high that has made his first year with Manchester City memorable, but the fun that they have both on and off the pitch.

In an interview he said: “Even though we were Premier League champions, going to training every day felt like it did when you were a kid, when you were just having fun.

“That’s pretty rare in football, I think.”

The 23-year-old joined the Premier League champions during the mass exodus from Monaco last summer and has made 53 appearances.
