Hilarious commentary to Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal against Spain Leaked

Cristiano Ronaldo’s picture-perfect free-kick against Spain might’ve set the FIFA World Cup 2018 ablaze, but in India, it isn’t just the spectacular goal that’s caught people attention.  A video of Ronaldo’s free-kick, with Malayalam commentary in the background, is going viral on social media. Fans can’t get enough of the passionate, yet hilarious, commentary in the video.

In the past, football fans around the world have often shared clips that have bizarre commentary. From South America to the United Arab Emirates, local commentators across the globe are famous for pouring unfiltered passion into their words. The Malayalam bit for Ronaldo’s goal on Friday is just as funny, if not more.

Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to help Portugal earn a hard-fought draw against Spain on Friday. The 33-year-old provided the game’s first goal via a penalty that he earned. His goal was cancelled put by a brilliant solo effort from Diego Costa. But an uncharacteristic mistake from goal-keeper David de Gea gave Ronaldo his second goal of the night. That too, however, was equalled by another Costa strike. Nacho then gave Spain a 3-2 lead, before Ronaldo provided the moment of the game with a sensational direct free-kick.

“I am very happy, it’s a nice personal record to have, one more in my career,” said Ronaldo after the match. “For me the most important thing is to emphasise what the team did against one of the favourites to win this World Cup. It was a fair result, we are very happy because the game was about to finish and then we managed to grab a draw.
