Moses pledges better performance with Eagles

Super Eagles forward Victor Moses has stated that the team will do everything possible to overcome their disappointing 2-0 loss to Croatia in their Group D opening game at the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday. Moses played for 90 minutes but could not inspire his side to secure a favourable result against the Croatians.

The defeat leaves the Super Eagles bottom in Group D while Croatia top with Argentina and Iceland in joint-second on a point each. Reacting to the defeat, Moses who expressed disappointment on the result, said they will do everything possible to win subsequent games.
“Disappointed with the result last night but we win together and lose together and will dust ourselves up and be ready to fight again. We are working hard to put things right.” The Super Eagles next game comes up on Friday against Iceland who surprisingly held Argentina to a 1-1 draw.
