Marcelo Bielsa promised £20m transfer kitty by Leeds United

Leeds United will reportedly back new manager Marcelo Bielsa with a £20m warchest after luring the Argentine coach to Elland Road.

The Championship outfit pulled off a huge coup on Friday morning by persuading the former Argentina and Chile boss to lead their charge back to the Premier League.

Bielsa is said to have been offered a £2m-a-year deal, making him their highest-paid boss ever, and he has also been promised large funds for his first transfer market in charge.

According to The Mirror, owner and chairman Andrea Radrizzani has agreed to bankroll the promotion bid with United’s biggest transfer kitty since their top-flight days.

Around half the money is said to have been received from high-profile backers San Francisco 49ers, on top of cash Radrizzani has held in reserve.
