Mikel Obi, Ahmed Musa score in Super Eagles’ practice game

Super Eagles’ Captain John Mikel Obi, Ahmed Musa and Joel Obi were all on target for their respective teams during the Super Eagles’ first training session at their base camp at the Essentuki Arena on Tuesday evening.
The training session began with a workout session which was open to the public, and lasted for about two hours. After the warmup exercises, the team had a practice game between Team A and Team B, which did not provide any clues to his starting lineup vs Croatia as Gernot Rohr played his cards close to his chest from prying eyes.

The Eagles were set up as two teams in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Uzoho, Idowu, Ebuehi, Omeruo, Balogun, Ndidi, Etebo, Ahmed Musa, Mikel, Iwobi and Ighalo playing on the same team. The other team comprised Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Abdullahi, Troost-Ekong, Awaziem, Echiejile, John Ogu, Onazi, Joel Obi, Iheanacho, Victor Moses and Simy Nwankwo. The practice game ended 2-1.
The Super Eagles will have further training today, Wednesday, both of which will be behind closed doors.
