World Cup; Harry Kane urges team mates to give 120%

Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane has promised to do his nation proud at this year’s World Cup tournament to be held in Russia. The England Captain was part of the England side who suffered global humiliation at the hands of Iceland in France at the Euros two years ago.

But the Tottenham striker is on a personal mission to restore the English public’s faith in their national team as he leads the Three Lions in battle.

”One hundred per cent we want to make the nation proud of the St George’s flag again,’ said Kane. ‘I am proud to be English and I would do anything for my country. Football plays such a big part in that and to make the fans proud and the country proud would be an incredible feeling. We feel that we can do that, so all we can do is fight on the pitch and give 120 per cent in every game and wear that badge with pride. I am sure the country will take to that,’’ Kane told reporters.
