VIDEO: Super Eagles’ first training attract mammoth Russian spectators

A mammoth Essentuki crowd turned up as Super Eagles launched their first training session on Tuesday evening ahead of their match against Croatia on Saturday. The team who had earlier been given a warm welcome by the people of Essentuki felt the love been churned out by the Russian fans at the training ground. The video clip shared by Super Eagles on their official Instagram page revealed the spectators cheering the West African team up with some of them raising up the Nigerian flag as a sign of Support for the Gernot Rohr-led team.

Essentuki is a city in Stavropol Krai, Russia which is located at the base of the Caucasus Mountains. It is considered the cultural capital of Russia’s Greek population and even today towards ten percent of its population is of Greek descent.
