According to football facts and stats website, Optajoe, on their World Cup predictor published on their Twitter handle, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have a 1.5 per cent chance of winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup commencing this week in Russia. The World Cup predictor, done for all the 32 participating teams at the tournament, ranks the Eagles joint 15th with Switzerland, Peru, as well as Africa’s other representatives Senegal and Egypt.
The Eagles Group D opponents and two-time World Champions, Argentina, rank third behind Brazil and Germany with a 10.1% chance of becoming world champions for a third time while other group rivals Croatia and Iceland come in 12th with 1.9% and 13th on 1.3% chances respectively.
The Super Eagles square up with Croatia on Saturday 16th June.
