PSG escape Champions League ban following Neymar deal

French champions, PSG looks set to be punished by UEFA for breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules regarding the transfer of Brazilian star, Neymar to the French capital outfit last summer but such punishment will not include an exclusion from the Champions League.

Instead, the Parisians will face a disciplinary procedure which is similar to the one they were issued in 2014, only this time it will be tougher.

In 2014, PSG were allowed to have a deficit of €60 million and still were active in the transfer market, however, this time the margin of deficit would be zero meaning the French champions would have to sell players before they can sign new ones.

Also, the situation would make it even more difficult for Neymar to actualize his dream of moving to the Real Madrid as PSG will make it a priority to hold on to their top stars.
