Rwandan Premier League side Rayon Sports has parted ways with head coach Ivan Minnaert following a poor run in the local league that has seen the side drop six points behind leaders As Kigali.
The development was confirmed on Monday evening via the club’s official website, also revealing that two of Minnaert’s assistant coaches have been suspended indefinitely following what the statement described as a “dismal run of games”.
“The head coach of Rayon Sport Ivan Minnaert is no longer the head coach, he has been dismissed due to a poor run of games on top of failing to manage the dressing room,” part of the statement on the website reads.
“Assistant coaches Jeannot Witakenge and Marcel Lomami have also been suspended until further notice.”
