Will Spain Win The World Cup Again?

Although La Roja extended Spain’s unbeaten run under Julen Lopetegui to 20 games, Saturday’s 1-0 win over Tunisia was anything but convincing.

Six days ahead of their World Cup debut against Portugal, it was all too predictable from the 2010 champions against Tunisia in Krasnodar. In the first half in particular, there was a lack of urgency and little in the way of clear chances, despite the usual possession from La Roja.

It was far from a vintage performance and not one to suggest that this Spain side can go on to win the trophy on July 15 – even though their wealth of talent makes them one of the big favourites heading into the tournament next week.
