Chelsea Midfielder Says his future will depend on who becomes new Manager

Ruben Loftus-Cheek spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace but the Chelsea midfielder won’t decide his future until after England’s involvement in this summer’s World Cup is over.

The 22-year-old is in a difficult position at the moment. An impressive loan spell with Palace landed him a spot on the plane to Russia with England but it is unclear whether he could secure first-team football at Stamford Bridge next season.

However, a decisive factor in deciding what next for the midfielder hinges on who will be Chelsea’s manager next year. Antonio Conte’s position looks precarious but no announcement has be made about his stay or departure yet.

Loftus-Cheek told reporters: “It’s unfair on my [England] team-mates if I’m not fully focused on this so all the talk about my future will have to wait until after the World Cup.

“I’ve enjoyed Palace but I don’t know what happens from here as there are so many variables. Different things happening at Chelsea may affect my whereabouts next season”.
