Ramos Doesn’t care about the criticism

Former Real Madrid star Michel Salgado ridicules claims that criticism of Sergio Ramos over his Champions League final performance, will impact on his World Cup campaign.

Ramos came under fire for supposedly intentionally injuring Liverpool’s star striker Mohamed Salah and goalkeeper Loris Karius in the final in Kiev, leading to intense criticism by Reds supporter groups and several media outlets.

However, Salgado believes that the ‘Los Blancos’ captain was unfairly singled out, and that the media circus surrounding him willdo nothing to hamper his efforts in the World Cup this summer.

Salgado told ‘Sportsmail’: ”To be honest he has been unfairly treated. Egypt are so mad about the situation but in the final there was no intention at all. In a 50/50 he will always go with everything he has got for sure.”

”He was diving to try to reach the ball and there was a struggle between the two of them. He is stronger than Salah and he got his shoulder caught but I can assure you he has no intention to injure Salah.”

”Don’t worry about the pressure on Sergio Ramos. He doesn’t care about it. He has got a different personality, and the more you put pressure on him the more comfortable he is going to be.’
