Switzerland completed an unbeaten World Cup warm-up campaign with a 2-0 victory over Japan in Lugano. Defender Ricardo Rodriguez scored a first-half penalty after Southampton’s Maya Yoshida fouled Breel Embolo. Benfica striker Haris Seferovic sealed the victory from close range with eight minutes still left. All in all, an impressive win for Switzerland despite efforts by Japan.
