The agent of Napoli star Jorginho has this afternoon cast doubt on his client’s proposed move to Manchester City, confirming that a difference in valuation between the clubs has led the Citizens to consider other options in their search for a new midfielder
Joao Santos said a 10 million Euro gap in valuation between the two clubs has now resulted in a standstill in negotiations, with City having switched their attentions to a ‘Plan B’, rumoured to be Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic:
‘Jorginho is a Napoli player. Napoli and Manchester City have not yet reached an agreement, as there is around €10m distance between the demand and the offer.’
‘Now City are working on Plan B. The player is waiting for Napoli’s decision. He has another two years on his contract and we will not renew it.’
