It is safe to say that Russia defender Ilya Kutepov is no shrinking violet and he has proven that with a fiery press conference in which he took aim at everyone from Luis Suarez to Mohamed Salah.
He will be part of the side which takes on the Egyptian as they make up Group A along with the hosts and Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
Speaking after his side’s friendly against Turkey, the Spartak Moscow centre-back revealed why he isn’t worried about facing some of the group’s most prestigious attackers.
“Am I afraid of Suarez? Of course I’m not because if needs be, I can bite him myself,” he said.
