England captain Jordan Henderson has hailed the Football Federation’s move to take the national team around the country before they depart for Russia to feature in this years World Cup . A flag-waving, 36,000 crowd at Elland Road backed the players in their final warm-up game.
“It’s the right thing to do to travel around the country. The atmosphere is generally normally good. But I do think it is a good idea to travel around, so different fans can go around and watch the games – it’s easier for them further up north, obviously. I think it worked well and the atmosphere was really good. Hopefully we can do that more in the future,” he said.
Henderson plays for Liverpool Fc in the English Premier League.
