Despite coming off injured in the Champions League final and raising fears that he could miss the World Cup, Mohammed Salah has given Egypt a glimmer of hope regarding his availability for the Russian showpiece.
Salah has been included in Egypt’s squad for the finals in Kiev and is bullish about his chances of being fit for their Group A opener on June 15.
“Now I’m better. I hope to play the first game against Uruguay, but that will depend on how I feel when it approaches,”he told reporters.
Salah had his best season ever at Liverpool last leason leading them into the Champions league final and scopping the Premier League Player of the year as well as the golden boot awards.
