The Real Madrid star finished the season in dazzling form as he netted twice in the Champions League final to seal his fourth winner’s medal.

Gareth Bale starred in a new advert as he played hairdresser.

Bale played for Wales in their China Cup friendlies against China and Uruguay

But injury problems forced him out of Wales’ last couple of qualifying games and their fate was sealed by Ireland who won 1-0 in Cardiff to make the World Cup play-offs.

Bale, 28, said: He said: “It was a massive disappointment for all of us not to reach the World Cup having experienced the Euros, which was incredible.

“But normally if we do well in one campaign we die away in the next.

“We were right there until the end, so we have to take the positives.
