Everton are reportedly in talks with Portugal defensive midfielder William Carvalho as the club look to make the Sporting CP man their first summer signing.
The player has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a number of years now with several clubs.
Arsenal have had a long-term interest in the player while West Ham were very close to completing a move last year before it fell through. That came after a supposed disagreement with both sets of owners but this time the player will 100% leave the club.
Everton new manager Marco Silva knows the player well from his single season at Sporting, in which he won one trophy.
