Emery branded ‘irrelevant’ as Adams expects Mislintat to pull Arsenal strings

The former Gunners captain believes the new man in charge at Emirates Stadium will see the success of his reign shaped by the dealings of others
Unai Emery has been branded “irrelevant” at Arsenal by former club captain Tony Adams, with a new era in north London set to be shaped by the transfer dealings of Sven Mislintat.

The Gunners have brought in a new manager and charged him with the task of rebuilding following a period of regression towards the end of Arsene Wenger’s iconic 22-year reign.

Emery will be assisted in the summer by head of recruitment Millintat and head of football relations Raul Sanllehi as the club look at bringing in new faces.
