Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli expected to sign new Tottenham contract

Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli are expected to sign new contracts with Tottenham Hotspur following suit with manager Mauricio Pochettino and vice-captain Harry Kane who both recently committed their futures to the club, according to the Daily Mirror.

On Friday afternoon, it was announced that Kane had signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2024, whilst Pochettino signed a deal lasting until 2023 just over two weeks ago.

Tottenham are now looking to continue to back Pochettino this summer by ensuring they maintain the club’s best players with Eriksen and Dele now set to sign new long-term contracts.

In a bid to fend off interest from Barcelona, Tottenham plan to offer Eriksen a new contract to ensure their Danish midfielder remains as the club as they prepare to move into their new stadium next season.

Pochettino held face-to-face talks with the 26-year-old last month in Copenhagen and talks between the two parties have progressed very well.

Dele is also subject to being offered a new contract following his hugely successful three-season spell at the club.

Last season, the 22-year-old managed 14 goals and 17 assists in all competitions – proving his status as one of the top young players in Europe.
