Arsenal are lining up an offer to sign Mainz star Jean-Philippe Gbamin, According to reports in France.
Gbamin has made 46 appearances for Mainz since arriving from Lens in 2016 but the 22-year-old centre-back is being linked with a move to England ahead of the 2018/19 campaign. Unai Emery is desperate to bring defensive reinforcements to the Emirates this summer and Gbamin has emerged as a possible target for the Gunners.
RMC suggests Arsenal are plotting a bid for Gbamin it’s claimed several other Premier League clubs are also looking at the Ivory Coast international. Mainz is demanding a fee of around €30 million (£26m) for the central defender who can also play as a defensive midfielder.
