Oldham have sacked coach Richie Wellens following their relegation from Sky Bet League One last season.
The Latics were relegated on the final day of the season after they were held to a2-2 draw against Northampton and Rovhadale defeated Charlton 1-0.
“Oldham Athletic can confirm that the contract of manager Richie Wellens has been terminated with immediate effect,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
