Harambee Starlets ace Esse Akida is confidence ahead of the second AWCON qualifier match against Equatorial Guinea.
Akida is hoping that they will come out with a win. Starlets defeated their opponents 2-1 at Kenyatta Stadium to edge closer to a second consecutive AWCON appearance. Akida scored the winning goal after Teresa Engesha had pulled the opener for Starlets.
“I am really pleased that we could win this game. We knew Equatorial Guinea would be a tough team and we came mentally prepared. We now look ahead to the return leg and I am confident we can get a good result,” Akida said.
