Tottenham Hotspur have decided to extend the contract of goalkeeper Michel Vorm.
The 34 year old Dutch footballer has been with the club for the last four years but just 11 outings have been made in the Premier League, with a further 32 appearances coming in all competitions.
His contract was duie for expiry this summer and with Spurs already having Paulo Gazzaniga on their books and being linked with a move for Southampton’s Alex McCarthy, Vorm appeared to be on his way out.
However, Spurs have revealed that they have taken up their option to add another 12 months to Vorm’s contract with Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
In 2014, Spurs paid £5m to sign Vorm from Swansea City.
