Reports from the Spanish media claim Massimiliano Allegri had been offered the Real Madrid job but turned it down. Allegri’s reluctance to take the job has therefore turned the European champions attention towards Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who is emerging as the only manager with a recent proven track record likely to be available this summer.
Madrid have list of alternatives available to them as Arsene Wenger, Guti, Michel and Michael Laudrup could all be recruited without lengthy negotiations.
