Mo Salah missing as Egypt loses to Belgium

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah was missing from the Egyptian line-up as he continues his recovery from a shoulder injury. Without Salah, Egypt lacked a cutting edge in attack, while Belgium fared rather well without Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany who watched from the stands after suffering a groin injury during Belgium’s goalless draw with Portugal on Saturday.

In an inspired first-half performance by Eden Hazard, who scored one and assisted two goals, the Belgians coasted to victory in the friendly encounter.
Egypt have now completed their warm-up schedule and open their World Cup campaign on June 15 against Uruguay. Belgium still have a game against Costa Rica on Monday before their Group G opener against Panama on 18 June.
