Manchester United have completed the signing of Diogo Dalot from Porto.
The 19-year-old defender has passed a medical and penned a five-year contract after the Red Devils agreed a £19m fee. Dalot’s new deal will keep him with the Reds until 2023
Jose Mourinho said: “Diogo is an extremely talented young defender with all the qualities to quickly become a great player for this club.
“He has all the attributes that a full-back needs: physicality, tactical intelligence and technical quality, combined with a Porto Academy mentality which prepares players for the maturity they need at the professional level.”
Having completed his move to England, the youngster is hoping to repay the faith shown in him by his fellow countryman.
And he cannot wait to get started and learn from the Special One in the Premier League.
