Liverpool are unlikely to sign Nabil Fekir before the World Cup kicks off next week, according to Jean-Michel Aulas.
The Lyon CEO seems to have dashed the hopes of Liverpool fans that they could capture’s signature in the coming days. Reports were circulating Liverpool may announce a transfer on Friday, but Aulas has rubbished claims Fekir could be the individual unveiled.
Fekir is set to cost Liverpool at least £50million, but Aulas insisted Lyon was yet to set an asking price.
‘His case is at a standstill. It has not at all advanced. The case won’t certainly be resolved during the World Cup and I do not think that there will be changes before (the WC),’ he said. ‘We have not placed a base price (on Fekir) because we have not yet discussed that.’
