Ireland legend undermines England World Cup hopes

Damian Duff has provided a scathing assessment of England’s squad ahead of the World Cup saying that the team does not have cliques going past the group stages.

The tournament kicks off next week and the former Republic of Ireland international insists Gareth Southgate’s men don’t have the heart to make any sort of major impact in Russia.

Duff, who won two Premier League titles with Chelsea under Jose Mourinho, believes England have high calibre players but lack the required desire to go that extra yard for their country.
