Frank Lampard will move for John Terry if Derby County captain Curtis Davies leaves this summer. Terry is a free agent after leaving Aston Villa last week following their failure to win promotion from the Championship.
Lampard was also busy himself as he penned a three-year deal to take charge of the Rams.
However, the say his predecessor Gary Rowett is already trying to bring Pride Park skipper Davies, with him to Stoke.The Potters are believed to have given him a large transfer budget in order to guide them immediately back to the top-flight.
Davies was an ever-present for Derby under Rowett last term and is the man he wants to marshal his new backline.
