Ndidi to play for an hour against Czech Republic

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will play for at least an hour as he starts against the Czech Republic in an international friendly on Wednesday, says official.

The Leicester City player is gradually regaining full match fitness after he recovered from a hamstring injury he picked up in the Premier League which he ended prematurely.

Super Eagles spokesperson, Toyin Ibitoye revealed that Gernot Rohr told the team after their training yesterday that Ndidi can play at least for an hour after he has fully recovered from the injury.

“He will start and play for at least an hour as he is gradually eased back into action, ” Ibitoye said.

The midfielder who missed the World Cup warm-up games against DR Congo and England will be expected to make a statement against the Czech Republic on Wednesday
