Liverpool Eyeing Nigerian Winger Moses Simon

Liverpool are reportedly weighing a move for Nigeria international and Gent winger Moses Simon.

Simon who has a year left on his contract at the Belgium top tier side missed out on a chance to represent Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup after tests in London last weekend ruled him out of action for three to four weeks.

After the acquisition of Fabinho from Monaco, Liverpool are said to be courting the 22-year-old who is expected to command a fee of around £10m.

Liverpool boss Jurgen is Klopp keen to bolster his attacking options as he seeks pacy backup to regular wide man Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and Simon fits the bill perfectly as he is capable of playing on either flank where he contributed six goals and three assists in helping Gent finish in fourth in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

Simon will not be representing his country at this summer’s World Cup after being overlooked for a place in Nigeria’s final 23-man squad by Gernot Rohr due to injury, though he is expected to be available in three weeks.
