Juventus reject Manchester City bid forMidfielder Miralem Pjanic’

Italian Football club Juventus has turned down Manchester City’s request for midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The England football team is in search of a midfielder for the summer but have so far failed in their pursuit of Napoli’s Jorginho, forcing Pep Guardiola to consider other targets.

According to Tuttosport, club had identified  Pjanic as a possible alternative, but Juventus have rejected their €50m (£43.7m) offer.

The report suggests that Juventus value the Bosnian playmaker higher than that, and are reluctant to sell due to their concern that they may not be able to replace Pjanic this summer.

Guardiola, meanwhile, is on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, who is now 33 years old.

Jorginho is still thought to be City’s first-choice target, but Napoli’s refusal to sell has led to them drafting a list of other options.
