Southgate wants the Three Lions to be brave and do themselves justice in a bid to produce a World Cup shock.
England leave for the Finals on Tuesday ahead of their opening Group G clash with Tunisia in Volgograd on June 18.
This will be one of the most inexperienced squads ever to go to a major tournament.
But Southgate believes this could be an advantage and he said:
“I think they just want to go and have a crack at the tournament – and that’s my view as well.
