Czech Rep v Nigeria: Onazi’s flaws gifts Ogu his 6th start for Super Eagles

Ogenyi Onazi’s poor performance at the Super Eagles friendlies against the Three Lions of England on Saturday has gifted John Ogu his 6th start for the national team as Rohr has decided to start the later against the Czech Republic on Wednesday.

According to reports, the trio of John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi, and captain Mikel Obi will be starting in the midfield. It’s been noted that the Super Eagles have never lost a match which the Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder starts and plays for 90 minutes.

Ogu debuted for the Super Eagles in 2013 against Kenya as a substitute who replaced Victor Moses and has since been more of a squad member than a starter.

His performance as a substitute against England was more than average and he is expected to show more impressive displays as Super Eagles get entertained by the Czech Republic on Wednesday in an international friendly.
