Manchester City have renewed their interests in Napoli midfielder lodged an improved bid for Napoli midfielder Jorginho after their initial offer was rejected.
After agreeing terms with the player’s agent, City have submitted a new bid to Napoli for the midfielder, and talks between the two clubs remain ongoing as they try to reach a deal.
City are understood to have offered an initial €47m and between €5 and €6m in add-ons, but the final figure may reach €55m.
City are unwilling to wait more than a week for a response and they could already have an alternative to the 26-year-old ready, should the deal fall trough.
