Manuel Neuer had a season to forget last season. The Bayern Munchen shot stopper injured his foot in Bayern’s Bundesliga fixture earlier in the season. The injury kept him out for almost the whole duration of the season in which he featured for only 360 minutes for the Bavarians.
”I had a clear goal. I also had one with Bayern, but I wasn’t able to take part. It was a real shame I couldn’t play a single game under Jupp Heynckens. I would have liked that, but it didn’t work out,” said Neuer, who was named on the bench for Bayern Shock DFB Cup defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Despite his absence Bayern went on to claim the Bundesliga title.
