Manchester United and Tottenham have held no talks over the transfer of defender Toby Alderweireld. This is according to Tottenham correspondent Alisdair Gold.
Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the 28 year old and views him as the man to lead his defense as the team tries to mount a premier league challenge.
Alderweireld, a 28-year-old Belgian international, has impressed since making the move to London from Atletico Madrid in 2015.
It has been rumored that Manchester United are willing to exchange the defender with Anthony Martial but it seems talks have not been held over a swap deal.
