Brazilian midfielder Fred move to Manchester United took a step closer to completion on Monday as he arrived for his medical ahead of his £53million to Old Trafford.
Driven into the club’s Carrington training ground in a black Mercedes, having played his part in Brazil’s 2-0 win over Croatia at Anfield on Sunday, Fred is close to becoming the club’s first summer signing.
The 25-year-old has been in talks with the Old Trafford club after a January move to rivals City collapsed and Brazil head coach Tite wants business concluded swiftly as he finalises preparations for the upcoming World Cup
