Egyptian winger to Move to Huddersfield

A statement from Egypt FA has confirmed that Stoke midfielder Ramandan Sobhi is on the verge of completing a move to Huddersfield.

”Ramandan Sobhi is undergoing a medical screening to move to Huddersfield Town and will return to Italy this afternoon.” Part of the statement reads

The 21-year-old joined Stoke from Egyptian champions Al Ahly back in 2016, and signed a five-year contract extension last year. He scored two goals in 24 appearances for the club though he played half of those matches from the bench.

A move to Huddersfield means that Sobhi will be able to continue playing in the English top flight after Stoke’s relegation to the Championship

Egypt will hope Sobhi is good form when they launch their World Cup campaign against Uruguay on 15th June, before taking on hosts Russia on 19th June and Saudi Arabia on 25th June.
