Brazil took on Croatia in a pre-World Cup friendly match on Sunday, and there was a potential flashpoint when Ivan Rakitic made an extremely poor challenge on Philippe Coutinho.
Just minutes after Neymar’s opening goal put the Selecao in front, the Croatian midfielder went right through his Barcelona teammate .
Fortunately it didn’t cause the Brazilian any real harm.
On Coutinho’s first return to Anfield, it was noticeable how much he was whistled by sections of the crowd.
With Neymar not being introduced until half time, Coutinho was tasked with providing much of the team’s creativity and was one of the better performers, an encouraging sign ahead of the World Cup.
